Review of last year's environmental performance with the 2018 indicators and targets set for 2019.

Communication of the various environmental aspects associated with our activity is one of the main premises of our environmental policy. In this way, the company's performance in this area and the objectives established to achieve continuous improvement are made known.

The aspects to which reference will be made in this communication will be: water, waste, atmosphere and electricity.

With regard to water consumption, the downward trend begun in 2013 is maintained. An important factor in continuing this decrease is the implementation, throughout 2018, of new technologies to increase the recovery of water used to irrigate our tracks.

As far as waste is concerned, all of it is segregated at source according to its nature in order to facilitate its management and recovery. In addition, this point has been emphasised through information campaigns to improve this segregation, both with IDIADA's employees and with our clients.

Related to the type of activity carried out in our facilities, different types of fuels are used, such as: gasoline, diesel, LPG and LNG. All this has been associated with CO2 emissions, which have remained practically constant over the last three years.

Finally, the desire to continue being a reference in the sector and offering our customers the best conditions for their tests, has led IDIADA to promote the testing of electric vehicles in their facilities. As a result, electricity consumption has increased slightly throughout 2018.

For more detailed information, the results of our environmental management and the environmental objectives for 2019 are available at our main technology centre in Tarragona.
