The Report project arises in the context of the European strategy to reach a 20% reduction in Co2 by 2020 and to promote alternative fuels for the mobility of people and goods in the territory of the European Union
The Report project arises in the context of the European strategy to reach a 20% reduction in CO2 by 2020 and to promote alternative fuels for the mobility of people and goods in the territory of the European Union, as well as to support in the Air Quality Improvement Plans of the metropolitan region of the Generalitat and the municipality of Barcelona, which include various actions to reduce the emissions of nitrogen oxides and particles in suspension based on fuel substitution. REPORT aims at a daring technological innovation in the conversion of diesel engines to Dual Fuel engines with Gas Natural and a vehicle tracking system.
The high technological level with the purpose of creating a logistics network in the Port of Barcelona and its surroundings with alternative fuel that will improve polluting emissions and reinforce a new sector of industrial transport.
The project is established in the realization of an activity of technological innovations of high level both for the conversion of the motor and in the TIC of monitoring of the real services and a demonstration of 12 months and of 26 vehicles converted in this innovative technology. The challenge is to preserve the initial benefits and improve them for efficient transporters.
In the context of this transport sector with alternative fuels has made notes the need to form relationships to get the most out and meet the security needs, therefore one of the challenges and objectives of the project is to start the necessary training to linked people and raise awareness in the sector with the dissemination of progress and project results to start the transformation of freight transport.
