The main objective of the project is to develop a cross-border corridor of refuelling stations for hydrogen vehicles connecting Spain (Catalonia and Aragon), France and Andorra with central and northern Europe, where the deployment of infrastructure associated with this type of mobility without emissions is more advanced.
To achieve this, over the next three years, among other things, 6 new hydrogen supply stations will be built, which will join those already operational. All of this must serve to create a true hydrogen mobility network between the different countries of the European Union; reduce emissions associated with traditional vehicles; boost local economies; promote business opportunities, especially for SMEs and promote innovation in hydrogen technologies in all areas of knowledge needed to put the corridor into operation.
The project is coordinated by the Fundación del Hidrógeno de Aragón (Aragon), in which IDIADA participates as partner of the region of Catalonia, together with Electricité de France (France) and H2 Impulsion (France), in addition to having the collaboration of Forces Elèctriques d'Andorra (Andorra).
The H2PyiR project was programmed in the first call for projects of the Interreg V-A Spain-France-Andorra program (POCTEFA 2014-2020), with a total budget of 3,847,799 euros, of which 2,395,788 euros come from ERDF funds.
