The FLL is a major event and international tournament that encourages scientific and technological vocations between young people based on programmable robots built with LEGO Education MINISTORMS.
More than 200.000 students participate worldwide, and nationally 25 tournaments are organized with more than 1350 teams and 10.000 contenders who will aim to solve real problems and present creative solutions for waste management.
Next 27th and 28th of February the first FLL edition will be held in El Vendrell with the involvement of universities, technology parks and collaborators, Applus IDIADA being the main partner. We share with them the same objectives of encouraging scientific and technological vocations and the development of skills and competences. Applus IDIADA will also contribute to the event with the collaboration of three judges who will supervise the various tests in which the participants will compete.
Last 9th February the collaboration agreement was signed between the FLL organizers, Applus IDIADA and representatives from El Vendrell City Council with the partcipation of the mayor Martí Carnicer; Ignasi Ferrer, Director of Innovation and the UK Business Unit of Applus IDIADA and Ramón Escofet as directors of the organization of the FLL.
