Applus+ IDIADA awarded at APAC

02/04/2013

The 17th Asia-Pacific Automotive Engineering Conference, known as APAC, was held in April 2013. Bringing together some of the main manufacturers of vehicles and components as well as leading experts in automotive engineering.

Applus+ IDIADA participated both in the exhibition and the technical sessions, presenting five papers and participating, as experts, in two of the debates. About twenty people from Albornar, China, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand moved to Bangkok to attend the event, and many others, worked from the various offices and Business Units.
The paper entitled Influence of the Inverter Calibration on the NVH of an Electrified LDT won the award for best paper from among the more than 100 that were submitted.
This presentation summarizes Applus+ IDIADA’s experience with a change in the calibration of the inverter and the perceived changes in exterior and interior noise levels. The main conclusion is that inverter calibration must not only focus on vehicle driving range, but also on all the vehicle’s performance functions, and that it is possible to minimize some annoying high-frequency components by working on the inverter calibration.
