The object of the electronics reliability program is to perform accelerated durability tests on the vehicle, with the main focus on the electronics functions.


Unlike theoretical reliability (MTBF, etc.), that is a mere estimation that guides the designers during the design phase, applied reliability helps to capture faults, which are generally discovered only through the after sale feedback

The process of electronics reliability involves:

  • Development of the reliability test cases based on functional specifications
  • Risk calculation pertaining to each electronic function
  • Designation of functions to be tested and their required targets to prototypes
  • Execution of the tests on the tracks to meet set targets
  • Feedback of the results to the designers and developers
